Laser therapy is highly effective in carpal tunnel syndrome. In the early stages, it is usually sufficient as a sole measure; in later stages, it is usually a complementary measure. It can additionally be used for pain and wound treatment after an operative intervention.
Laser therapy acts antiphlogistically, activates anti-edematous processes and soothes pain sensations. Nervous and muscular metabolism is encouraged and the microcirculation expanded.
