Laser therapy can prevent or significantly reduce the formation of keloids, and also prevent the formation of posttraumatic/postoperative pain points in the scar region. In cases where a scar keloid has already formed, the scar may become flatter, softer and brighter.
Laser therapy dampens fibroblast proliferation, improves the microcirculation in the scar region, activates the lymph circulation in the scar region and sedates pain in the scar region.
