We use Google Analytics, a Web analysis service of Google Inc (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereafter “Google”), to design and continuously optimize our website as needed. In this connection pseudonymized user profiles and cookies (see section 4) are used. The information about your use of the website that is generated by the cookie, such as:

The information is used to analyze your use of the website, to generate reports about the website activities, and to provide other services in connection with the use of the website and the Internet for the purpose of market research and the needs-based design of these Internet pages. Moreover, Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google will never associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. The IP addresses will be anonymized so that they cannot be assigned to specific persons (IP masking).
You may prevent the installation of the cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we wish to point out that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the features of this website.
You can moreover prevent the collection of the data which were generated by the cookie and which concern your use of the website (incl. your IP address) as well as their processing by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

In this case an opt-out cookie is set which prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. This opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for our website, and is set on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie must be reset.
Further information on data privacy in connection with Google Analytics is available, for example, from the Google Analytics Help Center (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).
6. Social Media Plug-ins
We use social plug-ins from the social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on our website on the basis of art. 6(1) sentence 1(f) GDPR in order to raise awareness of our company. The underlying promotional purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the GDPR. Responsibility for ensuring compliance of the operation with the data protection regulations lies with the respective provider. We use the so-called two-click method to integrate these plug-ins in order to offer visitors to our website optimum protection.
a) Facebook
We have added social-media plug-ins from Facebook to our website to personalize its use. To this end we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. This is an offer from Facebook.
When you access a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. Facebook transmits the content of the plug-in directly to your browser, which integrates it in the website.
Via the integrated plug-ins Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the respective page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. Your browser transmits this information (including your IP address) directly to a Facebook server in the USA, where it is stored.
If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for instance by clicking the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the respective information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. Moreover, the information is posted on Facebook and shown to your Facebook friends.
Facebook may use this information for purposes of promotion, market research and needs-based design of the Facebook pages. To this end, Facebook generates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with respect to the advertisements shown you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users on your activities on our website, and to provide other services in connection with the use of Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook prior to visiting our website.
Regarding the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your pertinent rights and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s Data Policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).
b) Twitter
Our website contains plug-ins of the short message network of Twitter Inc. (Twitter). The Twitter plug-ins (tweet button) are recognizable by the Twitter logo on our website. An overview of tweet buttons is provided here (https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons).
If you access a page on our website that contains such a plug-in, a direct connection between your browser and the Twitter server is established. This gives Twitter the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the Twitter tweet button while being logged in to your Twitter account, you can link the content of our pages on your Twitter profile. This enables Twitter to assign your visit of our pages to your user account. We wish to point out that we, as the provider of the website, do not receive any information on the content of the transmitted data or its use by Twitter.
If you do not want Twitter to be able to assign your visit to our pages, please log out of your Twitter user account.
For further information please refer to Twitter’s Privacy Policy (https://twitter.com/privacy).
c) Instagram
Our website also uses so-called social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”).
The plug-ins are marked with an Instagram logo, for example in the form of an “Instagram camera”.
When you access a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Instagram servers. Instagram transmits the content of the plug-in directly to your browser and integrates it in the page. Via the integrated plug-in, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the respective page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram account or are not currently logged in to Instagram.
Your browser transmits this information (including your IP address) directly to an Instagram server in the USA, where it is stored. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can assign your visit to our website directly to your Instagram account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for instance by clicking the Instagram button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there.
Moreover, this information is posted on your Instagram account and shown to your contacts.
If you do not want Instagram to assign the data collected via our website to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram prior to visiting our website.
For further information, please refer to Instagram’s Data Policy (https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388) von Instagram.

9. YouTube with expanded data protection integration
Our website embeds videos of the website YouTube. The website operator is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in the expanded data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. Nevertheless, this does not necessarily mean that the sharing of data with YouTube partners can be ruled out as a result of the expanded data protection mode. For instance, regardless of whether you are watching a video, YouTube will always establish a connection with the Google DoubleClick network.
As soon as you start to play a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers will be established. As a result, the YouTube server will be notified, which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account while you visit our site, you enable YouTube to directly allocate your browsing patterns to your personal profile. You have the option to prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, after you have started to play a video, YouTube will be able to place various cookies on your device or comparable technologies for recognition (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way YouTube will be able to obtain information about this website’s visitors. Among other things, this information will be used to generate video statistics with the aim of improving the user friendliness of the site and to prevent attempts to commit fraud.
Under certain circumstances, additional data processing transactions may be triggered after you have started to play a YouTube video, which are beyond our control.
The use of YouTube is based on our interest in presenting our online content in an appealing manner. Pursuant to Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR, this is a legitimate interest. If a corresponding agreement has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.
For more information on how YouTube handles user data, please consult the YouTube Data Privacy Policy under: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
10. Vimeo
This website uses plug-ins of the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.
If you visit one of the pages on our website into which a Vimeo video has been integrated, a connection to Vimeo’s servers will be established. As a consequence, the Vimeo server will receive information as to which of our pages you have visited. Moreover, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This will also happen if you are not logged into Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. The information recorded by Vimeo will be transmitted to Vimeo’s server in the United States.
If you are logged into your Vimeo account, you enable Vimeo to directly allocate your browsing patterns to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.
Vimeo uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting) to recognize website visitors.
The use of Vimeo is based on our interest in presenting our online content in an appealing manner.
Data transmission to the US is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) of the European Commission and, according to Vimeo, on “legitimate business interests”. Details can be found here: https://vimeo.com/privacy.
For more information on how Vimeo handles user data, please consult the Vimeo Data Privacy Policy under: https://vimeo.com/privacy.
11. Data Security
We use the popular SSL (Secure Socket Layer) methods for site visits, in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. Typically, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a single page of our website is encrypted is shown by a key or lock icon in the lower status bar of your browser.
We also take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
12. Effective Date of and Changes to This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is currently valid and was last revised in May 2018.
As a result of the further development of our website and the products and services it offers, or due to changes in legal or official requirements, it may be necessary to change this privacy policy.
