LASER COMB
Laser light can develop its stimulating effect only when the laser light is absorbed by the skin cells and can penetrate them deeply. Yet hair and fur reflect light and therefore constitute a barrier in laser treatment.
The laser comb resolves this problem brilliantly by using protruding comb tips. Thanks to these special cables, the laser light passes through the hair or fur almost without any energy loss and can exercise its stimulating effect directly on the skin. The laser comb is an ideal tool especially for the treatment of animals with long and dense fur.
The world’s first laser comb was developed by MKW. It was available on the market as early as 1991. Initially the model was intended for hair cosmetic applications. Veterinarians and animal therapists quickly recognized its practical potential in veterinary medicine. The veterinary laser for dense hair and fur was continuously developed further and adjusted to the requirements of veterinary practice. The development reached its preliminary peak in the laser shower PowerTwin 21 – a device that can be retrofitted into a laser comb within seconds. Consequently, animals with long or short fur or smooth skin can be treated with a single laser unit.
