SOFT LASERS
Soft lasers are used in complementary and regulative medicine. Synonyms for the term soft laser are: low-level laser (LLL), biostimulation laser, biolaser, laser biostimulation, cold light laser or cold light laser therapy, photo laser therapy devices, or high-density light (HDL) therapy devices.
Contrary to so-called hard lasers, which are employed in precision surgery, a soft laser uses low energy levels which are harmless when properly used.
- Biostimulation lasers / biolasers have an output of 50 to 500 mW and in most cases wavelengths in the red or near-infrared region of the spectrum.
